Vinyasa is the heart of Julia’s practice and instruction. This is a style that strings one pose to the next in time with the breath. It can be quite rigorous and involve a great deal of movement, but it can also be broken down for beginners and made gentle for special need students.
Prenatal yoga helps expectant moms strengthen and prepare for motherhood, restore energy, increase overall comfort, and deepen enjoyment of pregnancy. Julia teaches modifications of classic yoga poses and techniques that improve circulation, ease low back pain, and prepare the body, mind, and spirit for labor and delivery.
Parent / baby yoga: Julia can teach you and your family yoga poses that you can all do together. Or if you are part of a parent baby group Julia can teach at some of your weekly gatherings.
Shalom yoga: Julia routinely teaches Shabbat restorative yoga, “Spa for the Soul” events at Congregation Bnai Avraham in Brooklyn Heights, and sessions at the JCC of Manhattan’s Tikkun Leil Shavuot. Julia can incorporate Jewish themes into the yoga and meditation she teaches at your next event.
